Hints for using uncommon vintage pieces:

Pansy ring, also called a posy ring, is a style of vase quite popular in the 1920s. It's an easy way to  create a bouquet for garden flowers with short stems, like pansies. The vase is a low ring-shaped moat designed for a quick and fashionable arrangement of garden clippings. Many people have never seen one before, making them quite the conversation piece!

Honey pots are used to drizzle honey into a cup or tea or slice of toast. Decorative English porcelain honey pots are not easy to find, but are perfectly at home on a tea table.

Biscuit barrels are small cookie jars for shortbread or tea biscuit. If these mild sweets are not served on a tray or platter, the biscuit barrel is a cozy addition to an informal tea table.
